Your initial in-home or on-site consultation typically lasts about an hour, though more expansive projects may require additional time or follow-up visits. Should you choose to move forward, Marni will document the space with photos and video, and take detailed measurements. For larger or multi-room projects, she may bring an assistant or return to complete the process.

A full tour of your home allows Marni to assess flow and function, and she encourages you to share any problem areas. She may even explore your closet to better understand your style, preferences, and palette. This is a collaborative and personalized first step in creating a space that is truly your own.

Investment

While it’s common to feel hesitant about discussing your investment, it is one of the most essential conversations during the initial consultation. Understanding your comfort level allows us to craft a design plan that aligns with your goals—whether you’re updating a single room or transforming your entire home.

Design Plan & Presentation

Once the design agreement is in place, the creative process begins at the studio, where detailed sketches, renderings, and floor plans are thoughtfully developed. Custom window treatments and bespoke upholstered furnishings are designed exclusively for you, with fabric selections chosen to reflect both your aesthetic and functional needs.

Every element, from lighting and accessories to floor coverings, is meticulously sourced and integrated into a cohesive design plan. Product availability is confirmed through our trusted suppliers, and a tailored presentation is prepared. A formal appointment is then scheduled for your review.

During the presentation, with all key decision makers present, Marni unveils her vision for transforming your space. We’ll review every detail, discuss refinements as needed, and once the final plan is approved, a contract is signed and payment secured.

Individual items arrive at our storage facility where they are kept until everything arrives and Marni can schedule installation.

Behind the Scenes

Once the final design plan is approved, Marni initiates the procurement process, placing orders for furnishings and custom pieces from a curated selection of trusted vendors, both nationally and internationally. Throughout this phase, you will be kept informed by the design team with updates on progress and timelines.

As items are sourced from a variety of manufacturers, they will arrive individually and be securely stored until the full collection is complete. While some pieces may arrive within weeks, custom and made-to-order items may require several months, depending on production schedules and availability. Every detail is managed with care to ensure a seamless and well-coordinated installation.

The Big Reveal

If your project includes renovations, structural work will be completed in advance. Finishes such as paint and wallpaper are scheduled earlier in the process to protect your custom furnishings and ensure a flawless final result. Whatever the scope of the design, installation day is the moment everything comes together, and a true highlight of the experience.

After months of thoughtful planning, installation day is one of excitement and transformation. For the most seamless experience, clients are encouraged to entrust the design team with full access to the home, allowing them to oversee subcontractors as they install window treatments, lighting, and key furnishings.

When every detail is in place and the space is ready, Marni will personally invite you to return for the final reveal. Stepping into your newly completed space—elegantly styled and thoughtfully designed—is a moment of joy and lasting impact.
